By Robin Elise Weiss, LCCE, About.com

The Bottom Line

The baby tracker is great for schedule oriented parents. It has a place to quickly chart the basics like bath, medication, feedings, and diaper changes. You can even total it up on the bottom of each day.
Pros
  • Handy chart to track baby's activities.
  • Quick reference sheets for emergencies.
  • Monthly folders with pockets.
Cons
  • Binder doesn't hold more than about a month's worth of charts.
  • No extra space to write daily notes.

Description

  • A handy binder for brief notes for baby on a daily basis.
  • Limited areas for notes of any length or detail.
  • Can quickly be used by nanny or day care to provide a brief look at baby's day.
  • Nice, sturdy binder in three vibrant colors.
  • Medical charts and height/weight tracker included, along with shot record.

Guide Review - Baby Tracker

The Baby Tracker by Time Too comes in a very lovely binder with your choice of three colors. The binder has a button/string closure, pen holder and small slots for items like photos or additional pads. The feel of the binder is very luxurious and the colors are vibrant. This six ring binder doesn't really hold more than about a month's worth of charts. I'm perplexed at additional, long term storage options.

Once inside the binder you have you information and contact sheets. These hold the basics of who owns the binder and which child it is for, which is handy if you have twins or more than one baby at a time. There is also a section for insurance information and a consent for emergency care to be used for the day care or nanny.

The actual daily charts have sections labeled sleep, food, change, play and comments. Don't be fooled by the comments like, it's not large enough for me to write my name, but it could be helpful for single word entries - crying, sleepy, etc. The day starts at 7 a.m. which is a bit late for my tastes, and goes to 7 p.m. The back side of the page looks like a new day, but I'm sure you could pretend it was for 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. if you wanted to track baby's evenings as well.

The back contains a health record, weight and height tracker and an immunization chart. There are also monthly dividers with small pockets for notes or appointment cards.
