Guide Review - Trixie Tracker - Online Tracking for Newborns Daily Lives
I found Trixie Tracker when I asked on a list for mom who pump breast milk for their babies about how people kept track of when and how much they pumped. At first I thought that the other stuff (diapers, sleep, bottles, etc.) was just fluff and I wouldn't need it. But for fun, I started tracking everything, just to see how it worked and get a feel for it.It can actually be quite addictive! However, and more importantly, it's actually beneficial. Now, when the pediatrician asks how she's doing diaper wise, I can whip out an impressive number, and not be making it up or guessing. As far as managing the house with the kids, it's helpful for my husband to be able to look and see when she last nursed or had a bottle, so he knows whether she needs food or comfort.
Pumping for me is still the main reason I use the tracker. It's nice to see the daily averages and watch my supply. Having had previous supply issues and a problem with figuring out how long it was since I've used the breast pump, Trixie Tracker keeps me honest.
The sleep tracker is a bit more complex for me. Rather than merely having sleep and awake as your choices, once you click sleep, then you enter a transition time. This is useful for parents who wish to lay their baby down awake and track how long it takes them to fall asleep. I personally find it annoying to have to remember to click twice. Though now that I've gotten the hang of it, it's pretty easy.
Overall, I've really enjoyed Trixie Tracker. I'm busy with life and it's really helped me stay organized with the baby. I only wish it had been available when my twins were little!
Trixie Tracker is free for tracking diapers or there is a premium two week trial to see the entire ability. After that, the cost is $4-6 a month depending on the plan you choose.
